I did well with the "one champagne - one water" thing for ages, probably until about 11pm, which is a great effort for me. I'm not sick today at all - I feel great - except for one little problem. The dress had a fish tail piece at the back - and below is a picture of what happens when you've had a few champagnes, you're trying to walk in between tables that are very close together and squeeze past people in chairs, you've got someone standing on the back of your dress and when you look around to see what's going on your boss kneels down in front of you and you trip arse over head over the top of him and land on the floor on your knees (all this in front of a couple of thousand people):
My right knee is blown up like a huge balloon and it bloody hurts to walk. I'm damn sure it's going to be even worse tomorrow. Ouchy ouchy ouchy.
Maybe some chocolate would help ease the pain!!!
